Privacy Policy

Your code and your data are yours. This page explains what LearnBug collects, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how LearnBug ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website and visual debugging tools (the "Service"). By using LearnBug you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — when you sign up we collect your name and email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares.
  • Code and content you create — the code you write or paste and the sessions you save, so we can run, visualize and restore them for you.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the product.
  • Technical data — device, browser and log information collected automatically for security and reliability.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To save and restore your sessions and progress.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To send essential service communications (we don't sell your data or send spam).

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate LearnBug (such as hosting and authentication providers), and only as needed to run the Service, or where required by law.

5. Data retention & your rights

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your saved sessions.

6. Children

LearnBug is intended for students and developers. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country, please use the Service only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or institute.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
